Sampled @ Strong Ale Fest San Diego
On the pour a deep mahogany color with the head smallish and frothy, light tan in color and the lace sufficient to cover the glass. Nose is quite sweet, caramel with high lights of fusel alcohol, start is rich in malt, sweet and the top moderate in feel. Finish is benignly acidic and the hops powerful in their spiciness, sweet and dry aftertaste, a pretty good old bad boy barleywine, sampled it a couple of times, yummy.
