Much thanks to hopdog for opening up this vintage, 2005 750ml that was part of the Brewer's stash from the 2005 GABF...
Appears a hazy mahogany with a small, tan head that slowly fades into a mild cap and foamy collar. Little speckles of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of dusty caramel, toffee, vanilla, and perhaps some light notes of wood and minerals.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas, along with a very addictive flavor that's packed with brown sugar, raisins, vanilla cream, rum cake, and mild smoke.
Mouthfeel is fizzy, sugary, medium bodied, and finishing superbly.
