My wife and I enjoyed a quiet evening on the deck watching a absolutely beautiful sunset over the bay. Our server was training a new trainee and it was explained right from the beginning of service so we expected a few hiccups. I ordered a flight of brews, Red Headed Rye Ale, Hefe, Commodore Deatur Black IPA, and Pony Swim IPA.
For food, my wife ordered the Rockfish sandwich priced at $16. I ordered a Chicken sandwich for $14. The Rockfish was prepared excellent and seasoned perfect, it was a knife and fork eat as opposed to picking it up. The bread was perfect for the fish, not hard French style or too soft.
I ordered what was listed as a Chicken sandwich but the server explained it was chicken breast and thighs ground up and mixed with some garlic and spices then wrapped in chicken skin and served on bakery fresh brioche rolls with a touch of mustard mayo. Absolutely the best 'Chicken Sandwich' I have ever had!!! The chef who came up with this creation is soooooo underselling it by calling it a 'Chicken Sandwich'. This creation could win any culinary contest.
The only reason vibe was rated lower was that the place was entirely empty at 7 pm on a Thursday evening. It would be interesting to see the place half full!!!
I can't rave enough about the food we ate, also spoke with the manager and told him that the 'Chicken Sandwich' needs to be renamed!!!
