12oz canned November 28th 2023
On the pour, 1 finger of barely off white head formed on top of a slightly hazy, light amber body. Foam recedes to a decent ring around the glass that tries to lace, but overall head retention isn't the most impressive.
Aroma is hoppy in a relatively west coast pine resin sort of way, with a slight bright fruity note. The malt is present in the background but isnt overly present. Solid WCIPA aroma.
Flavor is again quite west coast inspired, but not quite balanced. There is a sweet caramel malt that is present throughout, but the hops come off as very bitter and slightly chalky and drying. The hops are bright and slightly fruity, but the aftertaste is only just alright and the bitterness grows quickly.
Feel is full, but very dry. Again there is a chalky feel. Easy to drink, as long as you still have beer in your mouth. It's really only the finish that is the problem.
Overall this isn't the most fantastic IPA, but then again I do live in Denver, and have had Pliny and Heady Topper, but the overly dry feel and lack 9f balance throws me off.

The can says 7.2% abv. A nice WCIPA. Good bitterness, a little fruitiness.

Pour is a clear, light ruby. Nice cap of off white head. Good retention and lacing. Nose and taste are a nice combination of pine, resin, citrus rind, grapefruit. Solid bitterness supported by a malt, caramel backbone.

Had on tap at the brewery. Golden amber in color with smells of hops, fruit and pine. Hops, pine, citrus and fruit mix together will to make this a juicy ipa. Smooth and crisp this is an excellent beer.
