Partying it up in Galveston in the late Spring of 2023, had this at that one restaurant the day before the cruise.
Pours a deep amber, one of the darkest non red/brown/black branded ipa's out there. Crystal malt for days I presume appearance wise. Served in a yellow hippie Jimmy Buffett looking can. The aroma leans on more caramel resin notes than it does the Citra hop. You can tell its there, but you get malty before you get hoppy.
The taste performs much the same way, it really is one of those balanced ipas people talk about but rarely receive. Candied orange Werther's candy here. The taste and mouthfeel does comport with the claimed 33 ibu, its caramel smooth without much bitterness, underlying the malt forward angle, a smooth orange existence that doesn't really hit a bittering edge or sweetness. Its one of those ipas that isn't popping or challenging, a heartier malt bill than most. Its fine, just fine.

Pours a dark amber, hazy color with a finger-width foamy head. Head retention is mild. Lacing is good. Nice citrus and piney aroma There are some floral notes as well. Citrus, floral, and piney resin on the taste. Nice malty backbone with a small amount of breadiness. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Cloudy amber pour. Nice nose with some pine aroma. Taste is hop forward with slight floral mixed in, but not nearly as citrusy as I had expected based on the name and description of the beer. Sharp, resin finish that also was not what I had expected. Good IPA but not extraordinary.

The citrus is well balanced. Gives the hops an easy taste. Very refreshing beer.

A cloudy amber color and a nice hop aroma. Nice hoppy taste , smooth and not overpowering. Mellow is a good descriptor. A touch creamy and full bodied. A great beer. Drinks very easy and overall tasty. I’d have another. On draft at Woody’s, Galveston, TX.
