This beer shreds harder than Enron in 2001. If you've got faxes Isaac will make sure no one else sees them. Citra/Mosaic Wheat IPA. Flavors: Dank/floral hops, light wheat body.

A good west coast, dank style IPA. No faults found. Enjoyed the Mosaic hops. Wish it could of been a little lower ABV so I could enjoy more than one of the few beers at this brewery worth drinking

Poured from crowler can into glass. Filled date is '4/6(2018)'.
Slightly cloudy, pale gold colored body. One finger, at most, of a white head, which settles to cap. Big spots of lacing cling to glass after each sip,
Big aromas of floral and dank hops.
Taste is big hops of floral and earthy flavors. Dank and some resin. Kind of sweet, but with a minor bitterness at the end.
Medium to full mouth feel. Slightly syrupy.
A totally crushable IPA, so easy to quaff.

Look: Pours a crystal clear straw color, with a fingers worth of white head. Isaac looks very old school.
Smell: Mango, passion fruit, and maybe even apricot. With swirling, some dank notes and more passion fruit come popping up.
Taste: Taste follows the nose-tropical fruits, mango and passion fruit dominate, and a finish that leans more towards the sweet malts.
Feel: medium bodied, ample carbonation, with a slight drying finish. Not an overly bitter beer.
Overall: This is a nice beer, and does a good job mimicking Todd the Axeman. A nice blend of citra and mosaic, with golden promise, Isaac The Faxman is a tasty IPA worth checking out.

It's finally true. Sam Harriman is now the Weird Al Yankovic of Twin Cities brewing. Don't believe me? Wait until my next Sisyphus review. You'll get it. For now, let's drink this beer.
Isaac the Fax Man. Citra/Mosaic Wheat IPA. 72 IBU. 7.4% ABV.
Bright golden coloring, clear as daylight, slim white head. Looking good.
Vibrant citrus-y aromatics. Big Citra hop nose, plenty of tropical tones, too. Lemon and pineapple, orange and mango. All doin' it to it.
Slides down the throat with ease, slips past the palate like a dream. Alert, lively, a beautifully bitter, citric splash. Just a little bit of honey-ish sweetness to balance the hop bitterness. Light bodied, slight hops in finish. Perfectly delightful hop presence, supreme ease of toss-back-ability. Smooth wheat malt character. Good beer. Delicious beer. And you can drink it.
The name may remind you of a Surly beer, named for it's head of brewing operations, an axe-man of note. Isaac Rysdahl, of Sisyphus' brewery, also shreds....faxes! He also works in the Beer Hall at Surly MSP. Perhaps there's a connection. Oh, yes, the more famous Surly IPA also uses the Citra and Mosaic hops. It probably uses a little more malt, but they are somewhat similar.

this is a play on (and possibly collaborative effort with) surly and their todd the axeman ipa, which stands as one of the best in the country in my opinion, at least of the new school persuasion. this is pretty darn good though, a bit different on the hops and perhaps a little more substantial on the grain side of things, but its a pale blonde ipa type with big citra and mosaic notes to it, possibly a third hop in the mix here as well, also fruity, maybe an amarillo or something, its close. really impressive hop character here, very nice fresh at the brewery. lime zest, pineapple, even mango notes, but this is fruity without being sugary. very sort of east coast too, with plenty of hazy and a really pale wheaty looking base, not heavy or yeasty, but a little less refined for sure in terms of cleaning it up. mostly dry hopped i would think, appropriate but very mellow bitterness in it, and a big juicy finish that matches the nose perfectly. good carbonation and a slippery texture, this one goes down real easy. it was so good i had to take a crowler back to my hotel room and drink it, freshness is obviously key here. i was jazzed on this one, and in this brewery in general, nice lineup there from top to bottom but this is easily my favorite of their hoppy stuff so far!

At the brewery, into a snifter, very clear pale gold, puffy 1 finger white head that becomes wispy after a while. Very pungent floral and citrus, very pleasant bitterness, quite dry at the end. Initially, I thought it was a little too thin and even watery, but over time, I came to appreciate this one a lot...it is very well made, the integration of flavors is fantastic, there are a lot of different notes from start to end, and the nose is ambrosial throughout. Here's to Isaac!
