Sisyphus The First Beer We Distributed East Coast IPA. 6.9% Alc. by Vol. Sisyphus Brewing, Minneapolis, MN. "It's Not the Size of your Brew System. It's How You Use It. Started Small to Stay Small. We Craft What We Crave. Other Generic Platitudes....." Brewed and bottled by Sisyphus Brewing Company, 712 Ontario Avenue W., Minneapolis, MN. Sisyphus brewing.com.
highly hazed, pale golden, big white froth atop.
In the nose: Nicely soft and citric, not too much bitterness yet. Grapefruit, lemon, and lime, with a touch of pine.
In the mouth: Soft, again, and smooth, with increasing hop bitterness, just the way we like it. Nice, nice, nice. Growing bitterness makes it my kind of IPA. Dry, bitter, crisp, and satisfying. This is exactly what I love in an IPA and precisely why I love them, it delivers it all. Hints of tropical notes pop up here and there, but citrus is king in this, and it's delicious.
More from the label: Citra and Equinox hops. Vermont ale yeast. Pale and White wheat malt.

Solid IPA but not the cloudy, hazy, fruit cocktail like New England IPA's I've had.
As seems to be the case with a few Sissyphus beers I've had their is a bit of a catty, garlic flavor from the hops. Not uncommon these days but not something I particularly enjoy.
Carbonation is good, pours a light golden color with good lacing...
Malt is light and the hops lead the way as they should. Not particularly hop forward though. Lightly dry hop finish....
Not one of my favorites and certainly not close to the NE IPA's I've had from Disgruntled and Forager.

Like Sisyphus brews alot. This one missed the mark both on style and taste. Pours a light lemon yellow color with with very little haze. smell was herbal/medicinal with white fruits like apple and pear. Taste was very fruity with a dry white wine flavor some citrus hops and very little malt. mouth feel had adequate carbonation had very little bitterness was dry with white grape and wine finish. This brew was not to style little haze, no soft mouth feel not turbid not juicy with citrus hops but was not terrible finished the bomber, just not what i had anticipated.

Good brewery, first bottling, 750ML bottle split with my wife. Let’s make this as good as your taproom beers, Sisyphus.
The pour is a partially opaque gold that doesn’t look anything like a northeast IPA, which is OK, because when I drink beer with my eyes my contacts come out. And it stings. Nose is sweet, floral, lilacs? Maybe that’s just cabin fever.
The First Beer We Distributed isn’t quite right. It tastes almost oxidized, though that can’t be, since it’s only a few days old, right? But it has that dull, cardboard taste that one doesn’t find in IPAs. The rest of the flavors seem muted: sweet spring meadows, tacky bitterness, melon right next to the skin, aspartame, rain-soaked dirt. Sweet papaya on the end. Dries out the mouth & makes my mouth skin stick together. Half a bomber is enough.
The weird pseudo oxidation fades as the beer warms from offensive to background. There’s a really good beer under here, but it’s a mess. Decent enough.
