Collaboration with Dageraad Brewing
We don’t always brew beer with our best friends, but when we do it’s with Dageraad. The Suburbs 3 Double India Pale Ale is a tropical fruit bomb that was fermented using Kveik yeast and pours a hazy golden yellow. It’s bright fruity aroma is followed by flavours of pineapple, citrus and lemon peel then finishes dry and crisp.

A:
It pours a lovely cloudy Orange Julius color with a nice two+ fingers of creamy head. Good retention; scummy lacing. (4.25)
S:
Bright, tart clementine/grapefruit, strong weed smell and a whiff of lacquer. (4)
T:
Tasty bitter grapefruit pith, stanky pot, the slightest impression of tartness and a bitter finish/aftertaste. (4)
M:
Pretty dry, medium carbonation, lingering hoppy bitterness throughout the finish. (4)
O:
This is a nice IIPA.
It is far and away the most marijuana-like hoppy beer over ever had in terms of flavor and aroma. It is stanky in the best kind of way. It is very attractive in the glass. On the whole it is basically a grapefruit rind rolled around in a pile of ground weed. The feel was a little drier and hop-oil-shellac-ier than I expected but was still good. This is a great beer in that it has shown me the possiblilities of pot-like beer. It is definitely not my favorite character (in this form at least haha), but is still quite enjoyable. (4)
Also, as I am uploading this I see that it is made with Kviek. That would explain the interesting fruitiness in the nose that I had a hard time describing. It was extremely present and very sharply, realistically citrusy; especially right after opening the can.

Poured from a 473ml can. Canned on March 05/2019. This is the release of their third annual collaboration IPA.
A: Wonderful pour a super hazy dirty yellow/orange with a thick white head/nice lacing.
S: Mild spices and hops.
T: Another chewy hazy NE style? or NE West Coast hybrid. Lots going on here many flavors.
F: Medium body with great balance with a nice clean finish.
O: A dam nice double very complex.
