Vancouver 25/7 2018. 50 cl bottle from High Point on E Hastings Street. Very dark and serious label where I can discern that this is a part of a “Brewers Series” and a sour beer with raspberries.
Pours opaque dark brown with a medium-sized light beige head. Settles as a thin layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
The aroma goes all in on the sour brown. Strong acidic and sour. Rounded a bit by the sweet berries. But the sour and vineous is dominating. The alcohol is peeking in.
Fairly strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, prickly texture.
Flavor is moderately sweet. Followed by notable prominent sourness. Aftertaste is sour with a light sweet touch of berries.
Fine Sour brown where the fruit only has a moderate rolle to play.
