Boats of oats, this rich dark stout is brewed with espresso beans from Maple City Roasters right in here in Michigan City, IN. It won't just wake you up, it will wake you up wearing your "O" face so everyone can see you vinegar strokes.

L: Thin, light tan head. Beer is dark chocolate in color.
S: Coffee, small hints of roast.
T: Way more coffee than is in the nose. Dark coffee with a bitterness to it. Almost like bitter chocolate.
F: A little thinner than I like on the body but no points docked because it's a good body for the style. (Not being a double/imperial)
O: Nice coffee comes through and I would drink again.

22 ounce bottle, no dating on it that I noticed. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown with maybe a half inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. The brew smells like coffee, roasted malt, nuts and a bit of caramel. Taste is mostly like the aroma, but there's also some dark fruitiness noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and creamy with moderate carbonation. Overall I think it's a solid espresso stout, certainly worth trying if you've never had it before. However, it's pricey at $11.99 a bomber.
