Ruby-tinted near-black with a fat finger of tan head. Nice rings of lacing.
Chocolate stands out most in the semi-dry aroma. There are some hints of coffee and stone fruit behind.
There’s a little chocolate and coffee in the taste as well. There are hints of fruit and wood, too. But the biggest element of the taste is the dry, lightly bitter, very ashy finish.
It's appropriately light bodied for the style, but still fairly slick, borderline creamy, with slow-building carbonation.
A very tasty sipper for those who don’t mind an ashy quality to their dark brews. 12/12/18 canned on date.

Jet black pour, tan head, heavy char, dark chocolate, and stone fruit aromas.
The taste is all char up front, to the point of being smokey, but the dark chocolate comes forward as this warms (I think it was served too cold at the restaurant I tried this at).
The style says porter , but it drinks like a big dry Stout. Very nice.

Very dark for a porter, infact it's probably closer to a stout, all things considered. Lacing isn't great either but the taste is fantastic. It's a clean beer, my critiques are mostly superficial aside from lacing. It's a thicker porter which may turn some people off but I would most certainly recommend this beer if you come across it.
