Appearance- The ale poured a murky black color with an off-white head. Lacing was noted on the glass.
Smell- The beer had a light waxy cherry nose. The booze wasn't very detectable.
Taste - Wow! My initial impression was boozy with tart cherries. And these are real cherries, not off tasting notes that should not be here. Sweet malts and nuttiness form the backbone, before slightly warming aftertaste.
Mouthfeel- The carbonation was passive allowing the diversity to occur here. I only wish there was more viscosity.
Overall - This was fantastic. I hope the brewery decides to make this one again. I would buy a lot more.
