What better place to get the second German Pilsner in a row on my recently-concluded trip, than from Oldenburg, Indiana? The whole place felt like something out of Bavaria and this was the perfect beer to pick up there, as it looked like something to quaff during Octoberfest. Sure enough, this was a winner and just as good as anything imported, with the end result being one of the best takes on the style that I've ever had!
Golden, bright, and nicely carbonated, this had a lovely hue to it as it was subtly radiant without looking too light or watery. Loads of Noble Hops were in the nose, along with bread, lemon, and a bit of spice. The taste was on par with the aroma as this was fun, balanced, and lively throughout as it didn't last in my pint glass for very long. It was nearly impossible to detect the booze in this as this was dangerously addicting - if you're into a beer of this sort.
Canned on 8/21, this held up well and didn't have any skunk to it whatsoever. Loved the label design (I collect them) but partially because it was on par with what was inside of the can. If you're not able to get overseas, getting your hand on this would be the next best thing as there was plenty to love here from start to finish! Nice job all-around...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
