Bottled summer 2016; drank 8/7/16 @ the Yarchives.
See-through orange/red rust appearance.
A rough pour yielded a huge eggnog head; a thick curtain of lace.
Pine, caramel & grapefruit notes in the nose.
Medium thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Pine & caramel flavors up front; pineapple & faint baking soda notes on the finish.
A malty American barleywine to this pallet; drinkable but not enjoyable. I've had my last.

Poured into a chalice glass, it was copper amber in color with a nice white head. Left incredible lacing on the glass. The smell was hop forward, pine and citrus with a hint of tropical fruit. The beer is sweet up front and balances the hops very well. It tends to a heavy mouthfeel with a lot of after taste of hops and a cloying. The mouthfeel issues aren't a problem, this beer is great and I could drink them all day.

16 ounce can into a snifter. Canned 1/29/17, had 5/7/17.
Pours an orange/amber, a little cloudy, with a half inch quickly dissipating head and some loose lacing. The smell starts with pine, then citrus- orange, lemon, malt, yeast, toffee, melon. The taste struck me a little different than the nose. Pine, orange, tangerine, some pineapple, malt, caramel. Some hop bitterness on the finish. Smooth, a good medium body, well carbonated.
Good, very drinkable, but nothing about it stands out.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 375 ml bottle on September 18, 2017. Look is deep amber with a fluffy head and some sticky lacing. Smell is citrus and tropical fruit with caramel malt aromas. Smell is malt forward with only hints of the fruit flavors suggested by the nose. Feel is medium in body with a sweet sticky finish.
