Served from bottle into glass at home. Pours deep gold in color, hazy, with huge white head. Aroma is earthy and funky with hints of citrus and sweet fruit. No resinous, pine, or herbaceous aromas. The aroma evokes an idea of smelling an orange in an old barn or next to a horse stable filled with fresh hay. The flavor is more barnyard with a hint of bubblegum. There is little malt flavor or assertive hop character. The sourness is not mouth puckering, instead it is clean and refreshing. Finishes less dry than expected from the sour forward aroma and with medium low bitterness. Medium full body with medium carbonation. Overall this beer is very drinkable and an approachable use of Brettanomyces. There does seem to be a muted hop character for an IPA, though that may be because the hops are overshadowed by the yeast sourness or just an old bottle.
