Had a few from 4 Noses, have really high hopes for this one based on the positive experiences I have had with these guys so far:
L: Light gold color, nice sticky head which dissipates slightly
S: Slightly boozey upfront, some fruity esters. No hop presence. some
T: Again more booze up front, not very hot or over the top, but it is there. It does sort of detract from other flavors. Maybe could use some more age, or be dialed back in the orginal gravity. Peach, pear, apricot esters are heavy. There is some light sugary malt there too. reminds me of a heavier version of Orabelle from Great Divide. Subtle spice. Not as clean or drinkable as other tripels I've had, but definitely better than average.
f: medium bodied, slightly oily. medium carbonation.
O: I think this is a solid attempt. I normally don't like the higher ABV trippels whether they are Belgian or American made, and this one is the same. I think it could highlight the yeast character a little more if it were dialed back. Notheless a solid effort and a good brew for the money.

Love Tripels and this is up there with the best I've had, Belgian or American made.
