On tap at Colorado Plus into a tulip glass.
A-The beer is very murky and hazy -- intentionally, I hope. Color is a rusty orange-yellow. The head is dense and white, and retention is good. My pour arrives with a fat finger of foam that hangs around and leaves lacing on the glass for nearly the entire time I'm drinking it.
S-The aroma is heavy on the citrus, I am picking up mandarin orange, as well as some tropical notes; maybe mango? I also sniff a bit of leafy green bitterness. It is not quite pine or dankness, but definitely "green" smelling. There is a yeast note, too, that gives the beer a little bready note. As is always the case for me with hazy beers, the bitterness suggests aspirin.
T-The taste mostly tracks the smell. It a little grainy, but the hops are juicy and heavy on the mandarin orange on my palate. That same bread note and leafy green note persist, and the bitterness suggests orange pith and aspirin. The beer is not quite as dry as some beers in this style.
M-The body is soft and medium-to-heavy in heft. Carbonation is fine and mostly mellow.
O-This is a pretty good "hazy" style beer. It is not as hopped up and dry as some. Another good beer from 4 Noses.

Darker gold colored body; nice carbonation; thick, sticky, sculpted head. Very sweet, fruity; powdery esters in the aroma; mixture of dried berries and some tropical fruit notes; orange and pineapple. Fruity flavor tempered with a mildly tart edge; grapefruit and orange juices; gentle bread-like grain qualities; big yet balanced hop bitterness. Heavy body; rich and punchy on the palate.
A fantastic, well-rounded pale ale that brings out the best qualities of the malts and hops in one coherent and memorable manner. A lot of sensory delights await the eye, nose, and taste buds.

canned as part of that ad hoc series they do, this is another great hoppy beer from these guys, who really do this style better than anything else. im not sure i like this better than the simcoe edition, but its a great beer. so pale in the glass, more golden than i remember it being, super light looking under a near full inch of white head. the aroma here is great, maybe not specifically galaxy, but for sure with that southern hemisphere citrus lime profile, grassy lightness, and somewhat lower capacity for bittering. i like the delicate nature of this, subtle citrus and pineapple notes, but clean fresh cereal malts too, a pale ale of the finest kind, well balanced and super drinkable, hoppy and fresh without bitterness or an oily feel at all, very colorado style. they are really making some waves with this base beer, and this galaxy edition is excellent. i still think the simcoe brings a little more of a similar thing here, almost pushing it into the ipa realm. i could drink ten of these and be just as thrilled with the tenth as the first, thats what pale ale shoud be! if you still havent had beer from these guys, you are definitely missing out!
