From a 12 oz can (four-pack ring says it was canned December 16, 2016) into a snifter. Reviewed from notes dated March 9, 2017.
A-The beer is quite murky and rusty yellow in color. Head is average height and off white in color. Retention is poor, but there is a good bit of sticky lacing left on the glass. I like my IPAs more on the clear and golden side of things.
S-The first whiff delivers some tropical notes of mango, guava, and pineapple. A few more sniffs reveal some tangerine citrus and the smell eventually reminds me of Five Alive. It smells juicy, but there is leafy, earthy bitterness underneath and hints of aspirin that I often sniff in these NE-style/juicy IPAs. Very light, dry malt notes.
T-The taste tracks the smell. I am still picking up tropical fruit and a pithy orange-rind bitterness. Nice and complex with hints of leaf and greenery underlying the tropical juices. Almost no malt.
M-The beer is easy to drink with a medium heft and subtle, soft feel on the palate. Carbonation is moderate to lighter than average.
O-I did not find this beer particularly attractive, but I enjoyed drinking it. In fact, I went through my four-pack really quickly. I would not call this a full-on NE-style IPA, but it definitely has elements of those beers.

Fruity, Citrusy, Juicy, Doughy
From the can, this beer pours a hazy peach color with a thin, but long-lasting, foam head. It smells fruity, herbal, and citrusy like a juicy grapefruit. Crisp, creamy, and smooth on the palate. Sweet-ish in flavor, with tropical fruit juiciness, tangerine, some pine, resin, raw leafiness, and a grassy bite. Meanwhile, the malts are dry and doughy. Herbal in the sticky finish with suggestions of mint and white pepper. This 'lil fugger is a solid IPA of the juicier kind.
