Poured into a narrow imperial pint glass: color is gold, clear, head is off white with fine bubbles and presents one finger thick then dissipates to thin top with many layers of lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is hop forward with pungent pine, earth, citrus, dank, light toasted and biscuit malt to counter, no booziness.
Taste is similar with pungent hop flavors of pine, earth, citrus, dank, malt notes of biscuit and toast, light boozy sweetness.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate/strong bitterness.

Canned 11/724. Drank 1/11/25.
Pour is a crystal clear golden yellow with a nice fluffy cap of white foam. Good retention. Good lacing.
Nose is a big wave of pine, citrus fruits, berries, dank, resinous hops
Taste follows. citrus, pine, berries, a bit dank, not quite as resinous as the nose, some nice bitterness on the backend, bu balanced. Malt backbone appears in the way of some biscuity malt and hints of caramel
Medium+ body, not thick / sweet. Enjoyable and easy to drink.
Very good double IPA. A nod to to pre-hazy WCIPAs.

19.2oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a good-sized, tan head of foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, pineapple, caramel and resin. Strong piney presences with toasted caramel and a tropical fruit finish.

Appearance: amber-golden with a 1-finger light tan head with good retention that fades to a thin veil. Slight haze.
Aroma: hoppy to the 9s. Minimal malt. The hops don’t have any stand out fruit characteristics, but more closely resemble pine/earthy characteristics.
Flavor: fantastic! Minimal malt and all hops. Like the nose, the hops don’t have any standout flavors – just generically hoppy; excellent nonetheless. The alcohol flavor comes through late in the finish.
Mouthfeel: medium-medium, perhaps just a tad heavier than what I’d prefer.
Overall: this is 4 Noses’ best effort by a considerable margin. Damn good. This beer is very similar to Melvin beers and every bit as good. Beers like this will swing the IPA pendulum back to the west-coast style. A wonderful return (and example of) to west-coast 2X IPAs.
