Many thanks to DrOfGolf for this can!
A - Pours an opaque pineapple golden tan color with a layer of dense white creamy foam resting on top.
S - Dank pineapple and citrus on the nose.
T - Citrus, some lime, juicy pineapple, vanilla, and ends balanced with a lingering balanced sweet/bitter pineapple on the backside. There's a bit of juicy resin that starts to bud on the palate as you work through the can.
M - Big medium body with a slight bit of thinness around the edges.
O - This is a really nice, easy drinking IPA and my first beer ever from 4 Noses. Recommended!

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sticky patches of lace on the glass. It smelled of pineapple, vanilla, orange and toasted caramel. Sweet pineapple taste with orange peeel, vanilla and sweet caramel.

Too smooth to quench a thirst but otherwise decent pineapple bomb.

In a world where there's no element of flavor that can't permeate the beer scene, even pineapple and vanilla seem to make a bold mark on the IPA style as 4 Noses merges the hoppy ale with pina colada and smoothie for an out-of-ale experience.
Pale gold and with a sepia yellowish stain, the nearly matte finish Pineapple Velvet crowns with a rich ivory lather. Its abundance of pineapple and cream seduce the nose along with the herbal, citrus and tropical fruit medley of hops. Creamy, lush and laced with pastry sweetness, an underlying taste of cream of wheat brings a nearly cereal taste to the early palate.
As the sweetness coats the tongue evenly, the hops make a mark on the middle palate first with a bold tangerine, red grapefruit and hint of lemon and lime. But the additions of pineapple draw out the mango, passionfruit and kiwi flavors of hops for a walk down that pina colada trail. Cream, coconut and vanilla protect the late palate against the bitter brunt of hops although the ale does rise with a moderate but smooth bitterness to close out the taste.
Medium bodied and retaining a creamy texture, the pastry-rich taste and textures are slow to retreat but they eventually give the palate over to the fresh spruce, botanical gin and green tea character of hops to give the session a final flare for the hops.

Definitely a new favorite. Think of it like a PiƱa Colada IPA though the Coconut is replaced with an easily substituting Vanilla Bean. Look smell and taste is great though a nitro stout version would be much better in mouth feel. Will pick up more soon!

Excellent brew, smells like pineapple juice, which carries through into the taste, but not in an overwhelming way. The balance of pineapple, vanilla, and hops is really nice, nothing carrying through in a particularly overwhelming way. Sweet onset with a classic hoppy, bitter finish. Very hazy look. I was initially intimidated by the milkshake, pineapple, vanilla label, but honestly, it's just a great, smooth IPA. Considering all the flavors, this beer is restrained in the best sense.

This was the first milkshake IPA I've had that I really loved. This beer got me into checking out more 4 Noses beers, and the more I try, the more I love. I was taken aback when I tried this at a bar in Denver and I needed to buy some for the home the next day. Perfect level of pineapple flavor with the lactose giving it a deep rich but not too sweet balance. Dang. I hadn't been impressed by any milkshake IPAs before trying this, but now I want to check more out in hopes they're as great as the Pineapple Velvet.

milkshake ipa with vanilla and pineapple. why does everyone have to make one of these nowadays? where did this trend come from? who is buying these? it is so hard for me to rightly call this an ipa, its a desserty mess, but its not real hoppy to me, sure a new school juicy dry hopped thing, but its sweet like crazy from all the pineapple, natural enough, and a ton of vanilla and lactose, who is asking for these? i dont so much dislike this beer specifically as i am now just fed up with the style. the pineapple and vanilla actually go together pretty well, and despite it being sort of candied, the flavors are pretty good together, just dont call it an ipa. hops have some citrus which gives it a tropical vibe with the pineapple, the malt base feels heavy and the lactose is overdone a bit, its starchy and messy and sweet, and although the vanilla is real and flavorful here, it also seems too high in the mix. i get this as a novelty, even a well done one, but who can drink more than one maybe two of these? better than many, lots and lots of pineapple and vanilla. so trendy to me that its annoying. i roll my eyes as i take another sip...
