awesome new one here, brewed to raise funds for public lands, which is rad, and its a great kolsch, these guys have really done an outstanding job with some of these traditional german styles, their pils rules, i thought their oktoberfest was solid, and this is awesome too! super light, bright in the glass, glowing yellow, lighter than golden, with a frothy white head on it and some lace as it drinks. the aroma and flavor are at once extremely traditional and ultra fresh and bright, way more so than any imported version of the style i have ever known. its so light in grain, the kolsch yeast is really flavorful, and the hops are delicately added and traditional but also fresh and a little citrusy, more forward than normal but not americanized in the negative sense of the term, this stays true to style, its just better than most. fresh flowers, dry cereals, light meyer lemon zest, doughy yeast, and some minerals, the water profile is just right. clean beyond belief, easy to drink on, very well carbonated, and alive and fresh to a degree rarely seen in this style. i used to think 8 second from elevation was the best kolsch in colorado, but this one might have just replaced it!
