Presentation: 12 oz. can with the canning date printed on the bottom. Served in a lambic glass.
Appearance: The one and a half finger head stays around for a while and leaves behind a thin foam ring that stays until the end and a lot of thick lacing that covers the entire glass. It's a slightly hazy, bright gold color.
Smell: It's a faint aroma of grains and a slight hint of grapefruit peel in the background.
Taste: It's a sweet, malty flavor at first and then moves towards some hoppy, citrus bitterness. There's a touch of alcohol towards the end as well.
Mouthfeel: It's quite thick and creamy with medium carbonation.
Overall: It's a good beer overall if unremarkable. It leans heavily towards the malty, sweet side without a lot of hop presence.

12 oz can, canned on 4/15/19. Pours slightly hazy straw gold with a big rocky white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is musty wheat with some floral candied fruit and some tarry resiny hops.
The flavor is sweet vegetal malt with floral fruity notes and a little resiny hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, it was a bit of a mess.

While I enjoy a good NEIPA - I have found myself drifting back to my first love...Piney, citrusy and floral hop bombs of yesteryear. This new DIPA from 4 Noses checks all those boxes beautifully. It is my favorite hoppy beer from 2019 (as of late May) and if you're in the mood for a Pliny like throwback, check this one out. Fantastic!
