a cool ipa featuring sabro hops, which are becoming an obsession of mine, such a unique varietal and i am stoke to see it poised to blow up! this beer combines it nicely with amarillo, and was easily my favorite of the three beers i had in here during a recent visit with a close friend. my buddy said it smells and tastes like tennis ball fuzz, which i likely never would have come up with on my own, but once i thought about it, i fully agreed, it really does, and thats a positive attribute if you can believe it, like popping a brand new can, which i havent done since i was a kid, if that tells you how profound it must be for the nose memory to recall it so vividly, and thats the sabro hop, take in this beer and you will agree! it also has more common notes of canned pineapple and melon from the amarillo, and a powerful juicy vibe, as much as that language gets tossed around, this is the very definition. the flavor of the beer is just awesome, i love this hop, a little of the herbal and lemon thing i get from sorachi ace in its prime here too, and even a trace of black pepper or something, earthy at the same time that its bright, and i guess the line between sabro and amarillo gets pretty blurry here. overall though its just so good, nothing special about the yeast or the ferment or the grain bill or anything, its just a radical hop profile that i absolutely love. these guys have always rocked the hoppy beers, and this is brilliant overall. they should make this a full time option, its one of their very best to date! totally blown away here.
