Had a small pour from an undated 12oz can
On the pour a fine white 1.5 fi ger head forms then slowly recedes staying fine with fine but lively carbonation. Some lacing is left, body is a standard golden light straw.
Aroma is similar to a lightened americanized pils. Lightness from the rice Ingles with light yeasty notes and the hops to make quite a bright floral doughy aroma. Slightly tart aroma brings it off a bit maybe from the yeast and rice.
Taste is much better in a cup than in the can. Full stop in the can the tartness and the hops express themselves the most but in a cup it becomes quite balanced with floral slightly fruity notes from the hops, and a soft crackery and doughy maltiness. In the finish the rice does come through instead of a plain barley lager there is a pronounced grainy lightness on the finish.
Feel is very nice in a cup head makes for a soft mouthfeel with fine but lively carbonation bite. The finish is light and relatively quick but the barley coats the mouth quite nicely making it feel full.
Overall this beer needs to be poured into a can then its a pretty damn good "craft AAL" definitely a bit happier than expected when drunk straight from the can, but in a cup it just feels like coors, hamms, and stella got together and lost most of their off tastes.
