No date on the can.

It pours a not quite clear straw gold with a finger of foam that shrank to a fine layer.

Smells hoppy, piney, dank, suggesting tropical fruit.

The taste is full of pine, dank with tropical fruit, quite bitter, finishes bitter.

Medium body and carbonation.

Good.

this one really didnt impress me, considering how good all of the other beer at baere was. this seems more generic, overly simplified, and frankly nothing special, although my girlfriend dug it for its lack of bitterness in the finish, which i suppose can be appealing, but its missing anything at all unique about the hops. some nice caramel malt to it, giving it a golden radiance and some body to balance the hops, which come through very generic. just enough bitterness here, but not a particularly dynamic brew. maybe my least favorite of the range i had there, although thats not to say its flawed, just less inventive and hoppy than i like my ipa to be. i do like the malt balance this time, it doesnt overtake, but makes it a little bigger. still decidedly american in style. maybe a more aggressive dry hopping would bump it up a peg.

A good start to this beer. Pours decent, a bit foggy, and light amber. Filled to the rim, no head (it was a sampler)

Aroma had a blend of pine and citrus, fairly light. Underneath that, though, was the dreaded butter. Oh no..

Thankfully, the butter didn't come up first in the flavor profile. The pine and citrus, with mingling malt, opened it up. But, the end was buttery with a slick feel to it. That didn't mix well with the hop bite. When they clean this up, the beer should be quite nice
