This is one of the most unique brews I have ever tasted. The 4 grains give a fantastic start, paired with Brett for a bit of funk. A little boozy hot on the finish - you know it’s a big beer. Something that you’d expect from fans of Belgian beers.

one of the weirdest and most unique beers of the year for me so far in 2017. its a multigrain strong ale, modeled on the laws four grain bourbon, which i am almost certain features barley, rye, wheat, and corn, but i cant say for sure. high rye is obvious in the beer, which has a wonderful earthy spiciness about it, some corn sweetness, and obviously being aged in the bourbon barrels, has quite a sweetness and bite from those as well. the cool part of this one for me is that its a merger of so many things, and the end product is so clear, its not a messy kitchen sink thing. i like it being wild, its bretty and super funky, even red wine fruity from the brett and the oak, but it never really is sour. similarly, i can tell its strong, but it doesnt drink like 14% abv at all, maybe 9% abv or so, but its warming not hot, and with the body being sort of lighter, its oddly drinkable for what it is. tons of cool maltiness to it, very mature and wild tasting, slightly raisiny and grapey, enormously complex, well carbonated, and curious as it is satisfying. neat local team-up with the laws guys. i always love baere, and i reckon if they were in a random city somewhere else, they would be all hyped up, but they arent even the most talked about brewery on their block here in denver. their beer is consistently some of the best and most interesting in the city, and yet it flies under the radar still. this is one of the coolest beers for sale in colorado right now, and it deserves your attention! like nothing else out there! absolute winner, super weird, just delicious.

Wow. This beer is something else. It pours light in color with some cloudiness. Aroma is of alcohol and Brett. Tatse is funky and fruity. No heat which is impressive for a beer this big. Low hop bitterness but not overly sweet. Not really.a beer that fits into a style. Nice Brett and barrel aged flavors. Some notes of bourbon. Worth a try.
