i can taste the plums nicely in here, but this is not my favorite of their sours, especially recently, all of their beer has been on point of late. this is a little bit colored by the fruit, pinkish orange and a little hazy in the glass, not much head. the aroma and flavor do have a lot of the plum, tart skins and sweeter flesh, very natural, but my issue here is not with the fruit, its with the yeast. this has that sweaty weird front side soured off flavor some beers get, i have never seen it before in a baere beer, and i had the azacca table sour right next to it and it wasnt in that one. a weird funk is how i describe it, but it permeates pretty deep here, and kind of ruins the cleanness of the beer and some of its refreshment as well. its quite sour, but the sourness isnt as clean as it should be, and its a distraction and a flaw for me. that said, the dude i was drinking with loved the beer, and did not have the same criticism, so maybe its just personal preference here. awesome to see baere doing so many adventurous beers though, i just much preferred the azacca hops edition to this plum one because of the way the yeast tastes.
