Corner location, east of Downtown Denver. Square box of a place, smaller to medium sized with a nice rolling garage door set up that opens out to a pleasant and larger outdoor area with shade and tables. Inside its small and larger, long tables all next to the bar. Parking in the rear in a lot and in front if you can find a street spot. Yup, books and literature themed (unusual for a brewery, yes?) but get out your book or borrow one of theirs, play a board game, watch some sports on the TV and enjoy some of their quality in house beer options, all in a chill and friendly atmosphere...the several beers we sampled and enjoyed all seemed to be fresh and on point...no food, but feel free to bring some in. Good place for a beer or two, maybe get some work done if its quiet, not really great for a date or with the guys. Friendly service is always a plus!
Worth a visit if you are in or nearby this part of town.

Interesting place in new-ish high-ceilinged commercial building in a small shopping plaza to the east of downtown. Parking in rear lot much easier than on street. Rear entry through patio with large glass garage door, very open space. Small L-shaped bar - made of books - seats about a dozen with another dozen tables inside and a few communal tables on the patio. 14 beers on tap, I had the Madame Psychosis, and Nature's Ransom, both really nice. Friendly, personable bartender. Great place to unwind after dealing with Denver traffic and watch the sun set.

out on the east side of denver. the neighborhood didn't seem that nice, but the brewery definitely had a cool feel. has an outside patio, lit up at night with comfortable seating. when we were there, there were a lot of kids running around, but it was early (5ish) and they did have a Santa session, so I guess that is to be expected. great range of beers. definitely one of the better breweries in the Denver area.

Interesting atmosphere and gimmick that may sound better on paper, but will have to give it another go because the beers I tried were good and the ones I didn't sounded interesting enough to come back for (I.E. Liquid Luck and the Tripel with Dragonfruit).

this place is great, way down on east colfax, you wouldnt expect it to exist here, but it does. im not sure why it has such a poor reputation here, this was my first time in and i was very impressed. generic looking brewhouse in the back, but a very stylish and original taproom. the bar is made out of books, which is very cool, they have a free library there, and all of their beers are inspired by literature of one flavor or another. i tried almost all the beers they had on, with the baltic porter, brett gose, dragonfruit tripel, and session ipa being the winners. all these beers were creative, inspired, and well executed, and i saw no signs of poor brewing or recipe design. the space was clean and comfortable, and folks were all super nice and happy to have us. i love the concept of it, with the books behind the beers, and i was surprised and impressed to see so many interesting beers going. they even have a weekly firkin tapping that was flowing with a tasty red saison when i was in. i think these guys have either turned a major corner or just straight up need more respect. excellent vibe and excellent beer, i will be back for sure.
