Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, light golden color with nearly no head observable whatsoever. SRM of 7.
Aroma: Faint aromas of lemon and wheat. A bit of sourness in the nose
Flavor: Flavor starts off with some honey and white bread. Not as much lemon or wheat. If anything, mildly sweet.
Feel: Medium bodied. Low carbonation. Finishes flat and smooth.
Comparaed to Surly's Hell Lager 1/9/21: Pours a similar color with less head. Milder aromas/flavors. More honey. Less lemon, wheat, bread, lemonflower. Smoother and flatter.
Overall: An okay drinking beer, but I'm sort of unimpressed here. The appearance is completely clear and does not appear to be unfiltered. It is undercarbonated as well. The aromas are nearly nonexistent and the flavor is sort of one dimensional. Honey is about the only thing I pick up on the tongue, maybe because it lacks any yeast or carbonation to balance it out. Probably not a Kellerbier I'll be picking up again. A shame, because this is one of my favorite styles. I had high hopes for this one, possibly too high. Maybe I'm too harsh on the review, but this my favorite style that dropped the ball. Better as it warms though. (Final Rating: 3.40)

12oz can with no date
Pretty light on thee malt flavor that I associate with a good keller. None of that warm velvety goodness, this is thin and very yeasty. Way more hops than expected. It may be out of date, this is from a Summer variety pack and it's almost December here in MN.. and it kinda tastes like moldy bread.. but that's not fair - there are no real "off" flavors to be had
If you call it a Kellerbier / Zwickelbier - I'll buy it and drink it no matter what

This is called a Keller Pils, but at 22 ibu, it isn't really. And the malts don't quite have the depth of a Helles either. The mouthfeel is a little too spritz-like for my taste and leaves a slight sweet aftertaste. More like an Unfiltered Euro Lager IMO, but a damn fine despite the slightly off finish.

This beer pours a slightly hazy yellow with a large head. The aroma is crisp and fruity, with fresh baked bread, green banana, and white pepper. The flavor is slighlty sweet, with notes of green banana, pineapple, sweet corn, and sweet bread. The mouthfeel is full for a lager, cwith briming, fulsome carbonation. Overall a truly delicious beer - complex, yet easy drinking, it is wonderful example of an americanized German beer.

On-tap at Brauhaus Brew Labs, Minneapolis, MN
A: The beer is slightly hazy yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a narrow collar of white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of pilsener malts nd yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of bready malts and yeast.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little chewy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer seems like a hybrid between a German Pilsener and a Kellerbier.
Serving type: on-tap
