330ml bottle poured into a tulip glass. 24IBUs. Bottled Dec 2014.
L - dark red-chestnut coloured, with a nice pale brown creamy head. Reasonable head retention for style - leaves a decent 8mm thin lacing
S - roasted barley malt and slightly burnt caramel, hint of dark fruit (dates).
T - malt on the backbone, with a potent caramel presence. Not overtly strong, even when letting the beer warm up a bit. Chalky bitterness towards the finish.
F - dryish texture and finish, medium bodied.
O - respectable take on the irish red ale style, but the flavour was a tad bland.
