330ml bottle poured into half pint. 33 IBUs.
L - black, pale brown head. Starts at reasonable size, goes down relatively quicky.
S - Dark chocolate, hint of roast coffee. There is also an unusual plastic like phenol smell.
T - roasted biscuit malts and dark chocolate, slightly sweeter than most stouts. Moderate bitterness - more than I expected. The aftertaste leaves a bit of a sour, medicine like aftertaste.
F - chalky texture, lighter bodied than typical stouts, moderate to high carbonation for style.
O - venturing more on black pale ale territory, this beer does have refreshing qualities. But there is an off taste to this beer that doesn't sit well - maybe overcleaning the brewery equipment?
