Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a hazy, orange-amber color with a thin, milk-white head and minimal lacing. It has a fragrant smell of apple, plum, raisin, vanilla, clove, and coriander. The taste opens highly fruity with lots of fresh apple and raisin, along with subtle vanilla. It tastes like a dessert. The fruit flavors are bold but not overly sweet. There is also abundant Belgian spicing, including clove, coriander, and pepper. This ale is full-bodied with a pleasant level of carbonation, and the 8.4% ABV gives it lots of substance. Overall, I was impressed. Quinquennial Bacchanalia is the best beer I've had from Pinelands. It's well-brewed and a good local representation of a style that we don't see enough of. Too bad it's apparently a one-off for the fifth anniversary. It was a pleasure to drink outdoors on a warm Spring afternoon.
