Tried on-tap at GABS 2014 in Melbourne

Pours a pale amber hue with solid hazing through the body. Weight is fairly solid. Head is foamy and good, forming a nice yellowish off-white. Lacing falls in sheets. Looks pretty good all up overall.

Nose is weak. The description says "ridiculous" hops, but I don't see them. Instead, we've got a weak character like multigrain bread and perhaps a vague pepper character. Really quite disappointing.

Light malty entry on the palate with some peppery hops coming through (finally) that levae a slight tingle of bitterness as the go through the the back. A little linger stays to the aftertaste, but it's pretty underdone overall.

Feel is slightly frothy, which may work better in a better beer, but doesn't really help here.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure what this is getting at. It would have a hard time justifying its name as an IPA, it's just not good enough to warrant it.

On tap at GABS festival in Melbourne, May 2014.

Pours an amber colour, clear with decent beige head of fairly dense foam. Not bad, pretty standard for the style.

Smell is fairly subdued. Caramel malt upfront with a slight twist of lemon and a whisper of white pepper. For an IPA it's pretty lacklustre. Needs more hop; not much of anything really.

Taste is a little better, just a bit more character but it's very much following the same profile. Sweetish caramel malt note upfront, descending into slightly lemon-centric hop character midway with a slight piquant note of pepper late. Decent palate, but lacks the oomph of an IPA, more like a pale ale.

Not bad, just not really up to big IPA standards. Decent flavours but needs more of them for the style.
