Black looking body (dark brown in actuality), clear yet opaque in appearance; thick, velvety, tan head, long lasting. Lightly roasted grains and bitter chocolate greet the nose; a bit of earthy spiciness. Rich, chocolatey flavor; suggestions of vanilla and light brown sugar; earthy sweetness offset with moderate sense of dark grain husk bitterness. Heavy body; velvety.
A very nice, straightforward take on a Baltic porter, it brings dark grain deliciousness with a heavy, mildly chewy mouthfeel.

12oz bottled 01/24/2022 (tiny black print on bottle neck right under the cap), about 9 months old at time of review, poured into a shaker pint glass at fridge temp 8.3% ABV (not on label, per Untappd) 26 IBU (on label)...
The beer pours opaque, very dark brown with light brown highlights and light brown head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. Minimal lacing. The aroma is mild in intensity with pleasant notes of dark fruit and chocolate. The taste is bittersweet roasted malt with berry, dark chocolate and caramel flavors atop the earthy, roasted malt base. Starts sweet, but finishes moderately bitter. The mouthfeel is medium plus bodied with just less that average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, very good.
