Lovely clear dark amber color with plenty of foam in the Affligem chalice. So aromatic with orange and pineapple. Sudsy mouthfeel finishes with a prickly sharp edge on the tongue, but followed by some malty sweetness. If only Schweppes made a "Bitter Apricot" soda, this would be it.
Moderate bitterness and lots of fruit. Some orange peel and a woody note, just slightly astringent. This is a really tasty and aromatic. I am happy to have found this one in the 22 oz bottle at Ale Spike in Stanwood. Suddenly I want to know where the hell is Lacey, Washington?
