Quite nutty. I actually love it. It’s got a nice and tolerable woody bitterness. Wet mouthfeel. Head dissipates quickly but beer still feels fresh. Good stout.

From tasting notes 12/16/19
Had on-tap at RL Lounge in Olympia, WA
Appearance - Served up in a standard pint, black with cola brown edging and a thin, broken layer of suds across the surface, thin ring around the edge. Fair lacing, with broken webbing, lines and spotting.
Smell - Dark, malty aroma. Earthen roast and lesser smoke
Taste - Semi-sweet chocolate upfront, then a bit of roast and sweet smokiness comes in mid-taste. Finish introduces a prominent earthen bitterness that lingers in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair carbonation. Drinks easy enough before a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Decent stout. Lots of earthen flavors, almost like stale coffee with a splash of chocolate creamer.
