I had this beer on-tap in a mug at Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA.
Appearance: rich golden hue with a light dash of haze and a moderate effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy white foam that leaves a great lace on the glass as it dissipates. A very attractive beer.
Smell: sweet and malty; a standard aroma but virtually without flaws. Very nice indeed.
Taste: malty, rather sweet and with just a little dash of grain and noble hops. Like the aroma, there are very few imperfections here.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good, well-integrated carbonation and a good creaminess.
Overall: this is an extremely well-crafted, thoughtful Helles. Hard to believe it originates from the same area as Olympia beer (it's the water!). I could quaff this stuff by the barrel.
