650 ml bomber served cold into a pint glass. Purchased from the LCBO for around $6 CDN.
Appearance - dark Amber, crystal clear. There's lots of lacing and a nice finger of off-white head with modest retention.
Smell - squash sweet potato, cinnamon, brown sugar and allspice. Makes me visualize Halloween, carving pumpkins and raking leaves.
Taste - like the nose with some additional earthiness and less sweetness. The squash and sweet potato are big here with the brown sugar providing some nice backup. Spiced appropriately, not too much or too little.
Mouthfeel - smooth and medium to heavy bodied. Expressive carbonation and clings to the mouth.
Overall - probably the best beer I've had from these guys. Hits all the aspects I was looking for in a good fall beer, with a nice sampling of aromas and flavours.
