Winey aroma with a hint of sourness. First half is understated with an okay malt base. Second half is all black pepper, too much so. Pepper lingers and then lingers some more, not a great thing for a beer. There is a touch of the wine barrel just before the pepper hits and destroys it.

Pours a light brown colour with a medium head. The flavour delivers as advertised, with definite notes of fruit from the Cabernet Sauvignon barrel, and the inclusion of black pepper adds a unique finish.
