Turns out Polar Vortex is a very common name for beers. Sure, whatever.
I actually don't know the ABV of this, because the howler I bought it in doesn't have it listed, nor is it on the website. I doubt it's any more than 5.8%, judging by the taste.
L: It's a very dark porter. I know they're supposed to be very dark, but damn this one is nearly black. Very feint head.
S: Absolute bliss. You can just smell the usage of vanilla pods in the brew, with subtle notes of milk chocolate rounding it out.
T: Don't know what I like more, the taste or the scent. It's extremely easy to drink, and the flavor profile is fantastic. Nice amount of cocoa and vanilla mixed in. Not bitter whatsoever, and lightly carbonated.
F: Delightful.
Overall: I love it. The most direct comparison I have to a real world object is like those McCain's chocolate cakes. It's liquid temptation, yet remains decadent. You know you only want a small slice, but can't help but having it all. It's definitely one of my newest favorite beers of all time.
