Galmegi Brewing (GB) was a rare find in South Korea, as craft beer and microbreweries are not really popular in Korea. (Koreans typically seem to enjoy their macro lagers.)
GB was conveniently located only a few minutes away from the beach in Busan.
I really enjoyed the vibe of this bar/brewery; it had a low-key, modern, 'let's-grab-a-cold-one' type of vibe, rather than a trendy swanky bar that you go for a night out. And that's why I liked it more, personally. It was quiet enough to bring yourself a book and read there. Next time I visit, I plan to order a couple glasses of PAs or IPAs and read for some time.
Now here are some things that need improvements: service, selection, and quality of beer.
OK, so service was not bad; I've experienced worse in Korea, but it could use some improvements. The servers were not very attentive. They were sitting a few tables away, too busy chatting with each other.
Selection was quite limited and the bottled beers were on the pricey side. They were selling Chimay Blue for 34,000 Korean Currency, which was about $31 USD. WHAT? I've never paid more than $14 for Chimay blues
Anyway, it was a pleasant experience overall. Beer was decent. The PA I had was a bit murky and nothing crazy special.
