Whaler's started this Sour Beer project towards the beginning of Fall 15'. Sour beers do not require as much of an acquired taste as you would imagine. The Berliner Weisse has a look that almost looks silly, it's a dark shade of blue! The Blueberry aroma reminds the nose of a cider, or even champagne. The mouthfeel is indeed tart, but you can easily identify the sweet notes as well. It has a very nice light body, once you're used to this style of beer, the ABV is on the lower side, so it's very nice to drink in a session.
I hope they bottle this beer, Sours are a real treat for me and Whaler's did their homework on this one!
