This tart, pina colada inspired sour ale honors its namesake with a rich tropical aroma followed closely by a juicy pineapple body and lingering coconut finish.

Pours a dull, pale yellow with a tight band around the edges and a consistent, soapy slick. Nose expresses citrus and hints of sour mix. Taste expresses more sour mix, coconut notes and a bready/cardboard quality akin to Communion wafers. Mouthfeel is light in body with a lively carbonation and an astringency. Overall, interesting but a little too far a stray from the a typical Berliner weisse for my sensibilities.
