This may be my first NC beer. Pours up to a thinnish but lasting head and a very strikingly clear red amber. Aroma is sweet crystal malts and piney hops. Flavor has the same clean sweet malt upfront balanced by alcohol and crisp bitterness. Interesting mineral water snap in the finish. Mouthfeel is light to medium. The one note malt and hop thing got old fast. Technically not a bad beer, just needs more complexity to make it worth another pour.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a very nice clear reddish color with almost zero head. The aroma is pine and some caramel. The taste is pine with some caramel has a very bitter finish. An average beer

A beautiful clear, reddish brown beer that when poured aggressively yielded a thin tan head. The aroma is caramel, oranges, with a lot of piney hops. The taste is quite bitter with some caramel and citrus present in the back. It is a good beer but for me the bitterness was overpowering and made the beer a bit unbalanced.

This was listed at Southern Pines Growler as an Imperial IPA. It pours amber with good lacing. It has aromas of dark fruits, citrus and piney hops. It has citrus flavors, and dark fruits with a bitter finish. Based on the description, it smells and tastes like an IPA, not an amber ale.
