Bottom line up front, a very good basic beer. Advertised by the server at Longstar Steakhouse as a "local version of Blue Moon".

Look: It pours golden with a moderate off white head that dissipates somewhat quickly.

Smell: There are moderate pear aromas with grain and a touch of banana.

Taste: The flavors are balanced towards the grain and bread, with herbs and a touch of banana.

Feel:It has a medium body towards the light side. It has a long lasting grainy-herb aftertaste. It is also highly carbonated.

Overall this is a very easy drinking ale with flavors balanced towards the malts.

A: Pours a clear medium golden yellow in color with light to moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and faint copper + amber highlights. The beer has a finger tall sudsy foamy white head that quickly reduces to a medium to large sized patch of very thin film with a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of pale malts with light to moderate aromas of light fruit yeast (pear stands out). There are some very light aromas of floral, citrus/grapefruit, and tropical/mango hops.

T: Upfront there are light flavors of pale + toasted malts with minimal amounts of sweetness. There is a light to moderate amount of minerality. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of light fruit yeast (pear and white grape) along with a light to moderate amount of hop flavors - floral, earthy, citrus/grapefruit, and tropical/mango in descending order of strength. The hops contribute a light amount of bitterness which fades away pretty quickly.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially.

O: Easy to drink and very refreshing, perfect for a hot/humid summer afternoon. I could easily have a couple of these.
