A: Pours a crystal clear medium to dark colored reddish brown in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate amber + mahogany colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy tan head that reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer (approximately 85% of the surface) and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of doughy malts with a touch of wheat malts, hints of chocolate + caramel, and light aromas of banana + clove yeast.
T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of doughy, toasted, and caramel malts with a light flavor of wheat malts and a hint of caramel sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of chocolate with a hint of peppery spice cocoa. Finally there are light to moderate flavors of banana + clove yeast. Finish is clean, no flavors linger.
M: Medium to full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth and clean.
O: Enjoyable with true to style flavors + aromas. Pretty easy to drink and a nice example of the style.
