Imperial Espresso Stout
Sometimes I look at you as you smile and juxtapose,
You like your beer and coffee with lactose,
The malt, the oats, the trend, the beers we spin,
Again and again, yo, you’re on the other end,
Why is it so hard for you to decide which you love more?
Beer or espresso?

A: Pours a thick viscous opaque jet black in color with just shy of moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising slowly along the edges of the glass and faint dark cola brown colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense foamy dark tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the majority (95%+) of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Strong aromas of dark roasted coffee/espresso over light to moderate aromas of roasted + dark malts with a moderate amount of lactose sweetness. Light aromas of milk chocolate + cocoa and hints of earthy hops.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of roasted + dark malts with a moderate amount of lactose sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of milk chocolate + cocoa. Strong flavors of dark roasted coffee/espresso and light hints of earthy hops. Moderate amounts of roasty bitterness which fades away leaving lingering sweet coffee flavors lingering.
M: Just shy of full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth, almost creamy.
O: Drinks pretty easily considering the strength and the alcohol is well hidden - the only thing preventing this from being a really easy drinker is the sweetness. Enjoyable with really nice espresso/dark roasted coffee flavors and aromas.
