Smooth, sweet, and complex, the Prioress Milk Stout is full of wonderful caramel, toffee, and bitter dark chocolate flavors. Just a touch of roasted barley rounds out the finish, leaving a lingering chocolate covered espresso bean quality. Heaps of oats and lactose provide a velvety mouthfeel that is rich and elegant.

Received a can from a friend 4-23-22. No canning date, consumed 6-30-22.
Beer poured black with a small head that dissipated quickly.
Nose is nice, very roasty and chocolate forward.
Taste is nicely done with a near sessionable roasted malt base enhanced by dark chocolate. Finishes balanced between the roasted malts and adequate hopping.
Mouthfeel is light and smooth but lacks that satisfactory fuller body.
Overall a tasty treat for sure. My friend has shared some mediocre sweet stouts but this one is a keeper!
