Look: It pours brown and brilliantly clear. It is clear enough to be a lager instead of an ale. It has an off white head with low head retention.
Smell: It has strong coffee aromas with some nutty notes in support. There is a maple syrup like element in the background with sweetness evident throughout. It is quite sweet with coffee and maple syrup.
Taste: There are some strong nut flavors with noticeable rum. The pecans are noticeable in flavor, but not as distinct in the aroma. The alcohol is noticeable.
Feel: It has a medium body with strong alcohol warming.
Overall, the rum and alcohol are a little strong, but not overpowering. There is an interesting blend of flavors which is unique when compared to a lot of other beers out there.
