Very dark beer, with a creamy dark head. Smell like dark fruits and tastes like dark sugar and toffe. Very nice Portuguese microbrew

Bottle. Almost opaque brown. Wispy dark cream head.
Rich toffee and ripe fruit. Very boozy aroma.
Sweet. A bit of liquorice and treacle. Mildly bitter.
The sweetness provides a thick cloying feel.
The alcohol in this beverage is somewhat overwhelming. Some aging may help.

Steady ecru head over dark amber. 4
Sour grain and paint thinner. 3.25
Dark cherry, butterscotch, some heavy acetone, sherry, graininess, and vague orange rind. 4
Medium, chewy, some heat. 3.75
Harsh. Classic barleywine notes, killed by acetone and oxidation. Might've been stored poorly, but tough to see how that produced multiple flaws. Can't be the beer that won medals. 3.5

Poured to a teku glass.
A: The body is opaque brown to cooper. The head started violently by being giant but after a couple minutes it changed to a dense but small beige head. Lots of lacing.
S: The aroma is filled with notes of toffee and almost correr. After that, the only thing you can notice is alcohol. No malts which is sad but the aroma here is great.
T: The taste is very licquour-y being very very sweet. The toffee, coffee and malts come togetherto provide a very good profile of sweetness that on top of the alcohol ends up creating a velvety sensation on this beer.
M: Density if high and carbonation is just a bit higher than it should but the word that I'm looking for is velvety. This mouthfeel is just great.
O: So far, the best beer from Maldita that I've had. And probably one of the best barleywines I've had in my life.

Poured cold into tulip. The color is a fuzzy dark copper with ruby hints. Has no cap and presents no lacing. The smell is rich, yeasty, fruity and BW zesty; grapes, mashed grapes, hints of plum and some roasted grains. The mouth feel is round, bold, and the carbonation is pinch perfect. The taste is very rich and complex. A wild yeast flavur pops imediatly at the touch of lips, and you can sense the the secondary fermentation. Even ABV strong, left no dryness and showed no signs of evident bitterness, only notes of dryed red fruits and the bittersweetness of caramel. A great beer, very pleasant and recomendable. Everything I paid for, worth all my pennied. Even in diferent styles and countries, made my senses recall the mighty Chimay Bleue. Cheers!
